VBGIGs (Virginia Beach Globally Inspired Gatherings)
Part of Virginia Beach’s Arts Plan 2030, VBGIGs encourages learning about neighbors near and far and sparks cultural curiosity through the performing arts. Children receive a VBGIGs passport and stickers to track the world regions they “visit” at each performance. Shows are planned now through April 2025 – all are free, but registration is required as space is limited.

VBGIGs: Red Crooked Sky
April 12th, 2025 7pm Zeiders American Dream Theater
Honor Earth Month with members of a variety of Native American Nations and your local Nansemond Nation. Chief Keith Anderson leads Red Crooked Sky in this music, dance, and fashion exploration of Indigenous culture and our critical ties to the earth as fellow inhabitants. This collaborative mix of American Indians are each dedicated to educating and promoting positive cultural awareness through traditional and contemporary dance. Based in Southeastern Virginia, they represent an array of tribes - Cherokee, Sioux, Meherrin, Osage, Pamunkey, Seneca, Monacan, and others. The multi-generational group invites audiences to experience the traditions of the past and present as they take you on a spiritual and emotional journey like no other!
